Stephan Vermeersch as soloist he performs contemporary music and was invited to perform at contemporary festivals in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany, U.K, USA, Canada, Ukraine, Russia, Mongolia, Egypt, Lithuania and Japan. He has done many first performances and several pieces are dedicated to him. He also works with electronics and improvisation.
He is soloist with the Rajhans Ensemble—India inspired music—with performances in India, Pakistan, USA, UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Sweden, Egypte, Italy, Germany, Russia and Mongolia.
For 14 years he was member of the contemporary clarinet quartet Ebony-kwartet (performances in the Benelux, Sweden, Ukraine, Mongolia and Lithuania)
In 2007 he started the Duo Phoenix with soprano Françoise Vanhecke with marvelous 20th & 21st century repertoire from composers worldwide. They have performed in Italy, Ukrain, Lithuania and Belgium.
Mr.Vermeersch has built an international reputation as a dynamic and charismatic performer.
